LOCATION: NAPOLI

The basilica was built on the ruins of the temple of Dioscuri from it remain two Corinthian columns with their architraves that characterize the main facade. The basilica has a facade designed by Arcangelo Guglielmelli, who was able to incorporate in the new project the only two Corinthian columns, dating back to the ancient temple of Dioscuri, that remained standing after the earthquake of 1688. The works included the review of stucco frames of the  wall and columns, the revision of the stone balustrade and the restoration of the main gate.
